Fun With Mind Control

by WoWDen on November 8, 2007

In Western Plague lands, a combat medic humanoid mob that hangs out with a lot of the hunter/mages towards the middle of the zone in rock depression with a tent. Arcane resistance buff 1 hour 78-87 arcane resist enhancement Can buff a full team with it after a few mind control attempts.

In SM,

You know when you attack the scarlet commander and he dies, then the priest comes out, uses AOE sleep and heals him? If you MC the monks you can use their kick ability.
That’s 3 mobs, all with the Kick ability. We alternated kicks so much that she never got the AOE sleep thing off, and she died before rezzing Mograine

Another fun SM one is the Wizards, spam Arcane Explosion. The monks/myrmidons and chaplains are also good

LBRS. Spellbinders have +70(or something) fire resist buff, targetable. They also have instant cast “arcane shot”, which is a single shot version of arcane missiles. Spam it enough and you can almost kill one of the warrior orcs down there.

Same thing for the Scarlet Sorcerers in Stratholme, insane damage arcane shot.

The spellbinders in LBRS have the 60 minute duration fire resist buff. The reason this is awesome is that once you descend into the trench (on your way to wyrmfalak) there are some extremely nasty orc mobs who cast a lot of fire spells, including a debuff that causes the next fire damage spell to do +1000 damage. With nice fire resist you can reduce A LOT of the damage inflicted or just outright resist the spells completly.

Later in the instance there is another kind of orc mob called an “Invoker”. These have 2 very powerful AE attacks, one being a hard hitting AE damage + 5 second stun. ONLY EXPERIENCED INDIVIDUALS SHOULD ATTEMPT TO MC THIS MOB!!!!!

And as always let your group know what you are doing AND get their permission before you attempt any mind controlling strats.
