1st rule of killing paladins Viper String-
Biggest problems about people who whined about paly dps until a ‘glitch’ was found, was that they didnt understand how to ‘own’ a paly.
Dont treat a paladin as a melee class. Treat them as a caster..Paladin is nothing without it,blizzard made sure of that (horrible dps and ac is just a delay of the inevitable.) Maximum range and drain there mana- after that they will never surive your damage.
Wing clip , concussion shot. U should have spirit link, counterattack, or scatter shot..anyone will do. Should be a miracle if u get to evade a paladin they are probably already dead
Priest
chain fear forever.. – enough said- resist gear is worthless 100+shadow resist dont do anything… if u cant evade a paly by outright killing him , u need to find a new class. whether u shadow talents or not , even if healing talent spec’d u should be mana efficient enough to drop him. If a Paladin beats a priest it is somehow ironically a miracle. Mostly likely the priest didnt have mana to begin with or was at the end of a 16hour grind. If u have a cleansing happy paladin try feigning with low level dots to waste there mana, stall out and drain em. keep hot up and save shield for when he does his self invuln– 50percent slow but immune to fear. and remember u are in a game where u can take hits from mobs , Paladin = weak mob. tank em and staff damage fear and wand damage chain cast. Dont be afraid to take some minor damage from a paladin.. there low dps. trade a couple swings with him before u fear. This both allows more ‘continious fear’ and for u to gain back some hp burn when naturally without using mana… minor but in the course of a fight..Mana he gets low. or MC and just drop him off a cliff or run him near mobs just before it breaks– nuff said..
curse and curse feign with low dots to have paly cleanse.. Fear send pet. Use snare and fear separately. Yes seperately. This isnt eq where u want the mob to not get into aggro with others on the contrary. your going for distance… going for… well anyhow u want him to reach other mobs and then get the slow walk back . so remember fear first.. shadow resistance cursed if the paly is dumb enough to put on any or resistance aura.. (he needs the devotion aura, against your pet, cuz AC is a Paly’s Prime and ONLY stat) He wont make it through the first round of dots. An efficient paly will Invuln and be out little mana compared to u. All your dots lost before the damage is done and fear is back off.. just remember his attack is half speed (other invulv only takes out physical damage movement affects) doesnt affect dots) Just go Fear wand if you get behind…. If the paly goes after pet then fear. Its psychology, if he does something you dont like.. BAD PALADIN , fear. Its pavlov’s dog so teach him well.
Warrior
as stated above -Cleave (not sunder armor)- Hamstring in between fears. and remember u can stoop to using range attacks that palys dont have. Range damage is just as real as others and u cant charge in battle anymore :p If you are behind in the fight just fear/bandage or fear run. it should take so long to kill u that they should be able to. And it dont matter that u have to kill them 4 or 5 times after inulvs shield and loh , cuz you can kill them 10times over.. just think your getting 30percent haste for the next 3 swings…more attacks to when you crit crit on
No War should ever die to a paladin again 1v1.
go all out unless they are protection holy shield. then wait till they get low and turn lose the rank 5′s and such. you know the drill, all the damage all the time.. Treat them like casters though mind numb poison / snare. Even if you cant be able to kill u, just stun beat them and there a really good paladin they shouldntsap kick your way to safety… not much needs to be said
You’ll make a paladin wonder why he is being punished for playing such a bad class if you do it right. And dont camp corpses, there is always another paly that isnt locked into holy shield that doesnt have a chance against u. They only have one option for talents and it aint that good.
And you got .. adrenaline rush evasion and blade fury. we have a paly down repeat.. we have a paly down.. show em how a paly feigns death.
If your int/stamina with some mana regen you should be fine. If you get behind just Sheep. and catch up … round 2 anyone?. blink as necessary. If all else fails just sheep,blink, mount, and ride away. Sheep will take you out of combat and not the person you are fighting..(your not fighting them but they still have to fight u :remember they are being punished by blizzard for trying to roleplay a character so you have the advantage. keep on the offensive and you will always win. For instance you can even blink away while stunned. Couterspell when he goes toward healing. Give him your best and finish him off.
hmm just dont screw up = Paladin owned.
Remember Blizzard made your adversary without dps and as a healing class this make YOU ‘Invulnerable ‘to Paly attack, It should take 2 Paladins to even have a chance to kill you(and this only because they havent nerfed blessing of wisdom yet, because it benefits other classes more than paladins). Your Chain should absorb the damage like a mob 20 levels lower than you. Just pretend your killing stuff near a newbie zone to get your cooking skill up. While the paladin does minimal damage to you drop totems to slow this further. Get into melee a bit just to make him use mana a bit get him low on health and ready to heal. Then stun him part way through his heal.. and make sure you get those 2 precious seconds more of no healing. Warstop after if you happen to be a tauren.. No healing will occur anyways cuz your already into pure nukage at this point and he is in healer like while you take intermittent swings at him for further damage and delay of heals. Remember that you can both hit harder and faster with your buffs/talents than he can. IF you have the mana and pour out the damage while your victim is low health
root max range and channel away, but dont burn through mana too soon.
Need to work him down some first (depending on mana pool/talents) and dont spam your channeling spell mid cast you’ll or burn it up at the begginng Just if he blessings of freedom just drop into bear form and tank him out. Use most efficient HoT (paly’s dont get them , this is to your advantage) Use root for utility consider using the lowest level for maximum root per mana especially against the cleanse happy paladin. Though it might require more technique than Shaman you have all the skills to do it. And remember there is no reason that you should always get away, just dont stick it out too long if it aint going well.. dont melee out of bear always look for the most efficient avenues you have.
