- Most of the rest can be learned from the Firts Aid trainers, except:
- Manual: Strong Anti-Venom, which is a rare drop.
- Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage which should be purchased when you buy Expert First Aid – Under Wraps.
- Manual: Mageweave Bandage which should be purchased when you buy Expert First Aid – Under Wraps.
- Heavy Mageweave Bandage can from Trama Doctor* after having a skill of 240.
- Runecloth Bandage can from Trauma Doctor* after having a skill of 260.
- Heavy Runecloth Bandage can from Trauma Doctor* after having a skill of 290.
- * This is the Trama Doctor (Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen or Doctor Gregory Victor) from the Artisan Quest. You need to have at least the skill required to even see the option to train.
4 – ABOUT THE RESULTS OF FIRST AID
4.1 How do I use bandages?
- Drag the badages to your Action Bar.
- Click on the button or coresponding number.
- You will start to bandage(heal) your target, or your cursor will glow if no target is selected and you will bandage who ever you click on.
- First Aid is a Heal over time.
4.2 Is it possible to apply higher level bandages with a First Aid skill of 1? Or do you need an appropriate skill level?
- Bandages have a skill level requirement, though the skill level requirement is lower than the skill required to make them. (i.e. Heavy linen Bansdages require a skill of 40 to make, but only a skill of 20 to apply).
4.3 Does eating food and applying self-firstaid stack?
- Yes, though you can only perform one at a time. Apply your bandage first since you need to be standing, then sit down to eat.
4.4 How is First Aid different from Eating?
- First Aid heals at a faster rate.
- You can use bandages while in combat. NOTE: If you or the one your are healing stops. So it’s not healing get -hit- while the first aid is doing it’s thang, the perfect. It ain’t a healing spell, but it’s better than nothing!
4.5 Can you apply firstaid onto somebody else?
- Yes.
4.6 What is the cool down timer and how does it work? is there timer before it can be applied
- When first aid is applied, there is a ~60 secound to the same person. You can apply bandages to multiple people in a row, but you have to wait for the timer to expire before you can reuse it on the same person (including yourself).
4.7 Can I use bandages while in combat?
- Sort of. You can bandage while in combat, but the healing ends if you or your patient gets hit. If you have been poisoned, cure the poison first, since the damage from the poison will end bandaging.
5 – ABOUT ADVANCING IN FIRST AID
5.1 Where are the First Aid Profession trainers?
- Ask a guard! Guards will tell you where to find trainers and other services in most areas. Look for the arrow and flag on your radar.
5.2 What are the different levels/ranks in the professions?
- Rank (Min – Max Skills)
- Apprentise (1-75)
- Journeyman (50-150)
- Expert (125-225) (Requires a book, see below)
- Artisan (225-300) (Requires a quest, see below)
5.3 How do I know which resources or recipes will boost my skill?
- Resources and recipes are colored-coded according to the likelihood that harvesting/creating the item will increase your skill.
- Red items are items that you may not yet make or harvest.
- Orange items will always increase your skill when created or harvested.
- Yellow items will sometimes increase your skill when created or harvested.
- Green items will rarely increase your skill when created or harvested.
- Gray items will never increase your skill when created or harvested.
5.4 Why am I not getting any more skill-ups?
- You have reached the highest skill points for your Rank. Go train to the next rank.
- You need to craft and use higher level first aid supplies.
5.5 I am ready to train in Expert, who can train me?
- You need to buy the Expert First Aid – Under Wraps from two vendors for 1 gold. Make sure to pick up Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage and Manual: Mageweave Bandage, while there.
- Alliance: Deneb Walker in Arathi Highlands (Stromgarde Keep)
- He is inside the keep, after entering the keep, go under the little bridge, turn right to where you see the houses with the friendly guards, then turn right again twice, to go over the little bridge. He will be on the right just after the bridge, in the corner. It’s quite dark, and he wears dark clothing, so he is not that easy to see.
- Horde: Balai Lok’Wein in Dustwallow Marsh (Brackenwall Village)
- She is the Potions, Scrolls and Reagents vendor. She stands behind Krak the armorer.
5.7 I am ready to train in Artisan, where is an Artisan Trainer?
- You learn Artisan level by completing the following quest.
- Once you have reached level 40 and have 225 in First Aid. (I repeat you need to be at least level 40 and have maxed your skill at 225.)
- Note: There is a known bug. You advance to Artisan, but your max skill remains 225. Make sure you have plenty of Mageweave Cloth to make some bandages for a skill up to 226 before leaving the area.
- Alliance Start: Starts with Nissa Firestone in Ironforge near the Military Ward at the forge.
- You are sent to speak with Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen in Dustwallow Marsh (Theramore).
- Horde: Start with Arnok in Orgrimmar in the Valley of Spirits.
- You are sent to speak with Doctor Gregory Victor in Arathi Highlands (Hammerfall).
- Triage: He will have you triage 15 patients in a certain order before 6 die. You will be in a room with 6 cots (Stand in the middle so you can see all 6 cots). You will have special triage bandages (add them to your action bar) which should be applied to Critically injured, then Badly injured, and then injured. Critical patients will often die before you finish bandaging them, so let them die unless you can start right after they spawn. Once you started treating a patient, finish treating that patient, before moving on to another patient. You MUST use the special bandages you are given or you WILL FAIL. Use (“V”) to show all the patients status on screen.
- If too many patients die you’ll hear the “quest failed” sound and the yellow exclamation mark will appear over the Doctors head again. Stop, throw away your remaining bandages and wait a minute for the current patients to all die before starting over again.
5.8 What do I need to buy to power level to 300?
- 140 Linen, 125 Wool, 140 silk, 90 Mageweave, & 70 Runecloth.
