It’s time for another fun World of Warcraft toy and this time it’s gonna be
Preserved Holly is an item only obtainable during the Christmas holiday season by doing quests for the special holiday NPCs that populate Azeroth during the winter events. This item will transform your mount into a reindeer then you can run around, prance and look cool and make all the noobs ask you how you got a reindeer mount. The holly is a one time use item that is consumed when used, it will stack in lots of 20. The holly really isn’t that rare during the holiday season but it can become quite rare at other times in the year and hard to come by. It shows up rather infrequently at auction in the off season and my auctioneer puts it’s buyout at 1 gold 36 silver, so it’s not all that expensive when it shows up at the auction house usually.
Apparently it doesn’t work for flying mounts but let’s hope Blizzard will fix that for this upcoming winter season. So if you see some holly being sold think about buying it and having some fun riding around on a reindeer, also think about stocking up during the holiday season for the upcoming months when the holly isn’t available. You can even make a cool profit by reselling when supply is low.
